Why Can't I Import Certain Types of Email Addresses?

MyBizMailer has various security protocols in place to ensure that your email deliverability rates are top-notch.

One of the ways we do that is to keep an eye out for certain types of email addresses upon import.

While we allow almost all email types to be imported into the system, there are a few specific group-type of addresses that are associated with high bounce rates and spam complaints that we block from being uploaded to your account.

Here's a list of those types of emails:

noc@
security@
postmaster@
whois@
smtp@
sales@
jobs@
contact@
news@
marketing@
press@
hostmaster@
dns@
usenet@
nntp@
uucp@
ftp@
root@
info@
investorrelations@
privacy@
abuse@
spam@
admin@
webmaster@
support@
bizdev@

An Example

"info@" types of email addresses are one of those types that are prevented from being bulk uploaded to the servers. So if our servers detect a info@ email address in the subscriber list that you're trying to import it will be rejected and not imported at all.

But what if they gave me explicit permission to email them?

If an "info@" contact gives you explicit permission to add them to your list you can add them manually.

To do this log into MyBizMailer --> Hover over "Subscribers" in the navigational menu --> From the pull down click on "Add Subscriber" --> A new page will load where you can input your subscribers details --> On that same page select the list that you want to add them to --> Click "Submit" to finalize.

White Knighting

MyBizMailer follows the email marketing industry standard "double opt-in process" which ensures that we are in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

On the "Import Subscribers" page of the dashboard we also have a handy reminder for all our clients to help them ensure that the lists that they're importing are adhering to our Anti-Spam Policy.

Reminder: Is my list allowed?
Be advised, your account is subject to the terms in our zero tolerance Anti-Spam Policy Your list must be permission based ONLY.

  • No 3rd party lists
  • No prospects emails address
  • No lists that you scraped from websites
  • No chambers of commerce lists
  • No purchased email addresses

If you're new to email marketing then it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the above information. It'll help you on many different fronts including keeping your sender score squeaky-clean which will help to ensure that your emails actually end up in your subscribers inboxes.
